    Guidelines For Air Cargo Shipping Of Seafood

    Most of the competing air cargo shipping companies nowadays has provided some security measures and guidelines concerning air cargo shipping of seafood as well as other consumable goods. This is to ensure that all such perishable food will be handled with extreme care and maximize the freshness and quality of the products. Air cargo shipping of seafood would require proper storage and packing, hence, below are some of the guidelines set by the most companies for strict compliance by both the shipping agent and the shipper.

    If you are thinking of exporting perishable products from one destination to another, it is always a top priority to ensure that the products would arrive to the point of destination in its freshest possible state. Seafoods are one of the most expensive commodities today, and many people would not mind spending extra money just to enjoy fresh and succulent seafood dishes. What you would need to do is to completely freeze the seafood product before stuffing it in a shipping container. To maintain the temperature needed by the product to be able to arrive fresh to its destinations, it should be stored in a watertight and insulated container. The boxed should be fastened by some sturdy elastic bands or any nylon clips in order to prevent it from leaking. The air cargo shipping agent will not be held liable of any other damages except for actual loss in the declared number of pieces of the seafood products.

    If you are planning to ship in large quantities, it is important to make some inquiries and ask assistance for the proper handling and packing of seafood products. Improper treatment of perishable products would cause damage or spoilage and ultimately be a waste of your money. Most shipping agents will not be financially liable for damaged products unless it can be evidently proven that it was mishandled. All seafood products should be able to survive, or will not be spoiled within the 48 hours in transit
