    Pet Shipping Tips

There are many people all over the world who have formed a unique attachment with their pets. Many can't bear the thought of leaving their pets behind, even for just a couple of days. If you are one of these individuals, there's a great chance that you will not even entertain the thought of entrusting your beloved dog's care to anyone. Or maybe if you do find someone you can rely on to take care of your pet, you would still worry and fret the whole time you are away. But what if you have to go on a trip?

Well, there are actually several options for you. You can either gently impose on the goodwill of your neighbor to look after your dog for a few day, leave them to the expert care of a pet nanny, or you just bring them along!

Pet shipping is becoming more and more popular these days. It seems that many people have grown too fond of their pets and can't stand to see those sad puppy eyes. Them are also some pets that have been spoiled rotten by their owners, and can be quite unmanageable if left by owners for a long period of them pet shipping is one of the best solutions available today. So here a re some great pet shipping tips that can help you and your pet have a hassle-free trip:

The main consideration in pet shipping is to ensure the safety and well being of the animal. Make sure you purchase a leak-proof and sturdy crate specially designed for pets. Choose a crate that is not too large so your pet will not be battered if it turns out to be a rather rough ride. Before the pet shipping, allow your animal to get accustomed to confined spaces and put some familiar toys to him more comfortable during the whole trip.

It is very important to put some identification tags on your pet along with your name and contact number along with the your destination address. Do not forget to carry a picture of your pet with you. You can also write the name of your pet on the crate so even the attendants can talk and comfort him/her.

Feed your pet a very light meal approximately six hours before shipment and do not give water two hours before the departure. If the trip is quite long, provide a water container that will not be tipped over along with some dry food. Never tranquilize your pet without prior approval from your veterinarian, and work out together so he/she will be able to sleep comfortably during the trip.
